Cannabis Candied Bacon

  • 12 slices thick cut bacon
  • cup brown sugar packed
  • teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 gram ground decarboxylated cannabis


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  • Mix the brown sugar, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and decarboxylated cannabis in a bowl.
  • Spread the bacon strips on the baking sheet and evenly coat both sides with the brown sugar mixture.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until the bacon appears to be caramelized and somewhat crispy, flipping halfway through. Serve immediately.



A lot of people like to make candied bacon on a rack to maximize crispiness, but since we're infusing our bacon (and the resulting bacon grease) with cannabis, I make mine right in the sheet so the bacon continues to cook in the infused bacon grease. You'll end up with a slightly chewier but stronger finished product. By the way, you can save that infused bacon grease too cook with later if you like!
I also normally like to include the stems when I infuse butter or oil, but since we're eating everything, it's best to only use leaves and bud in this recipe.
