Sweet Ricotta Cheese Dip
A sweet treat with no refined sugar that's perfect with fresh fruit. Or cookies. I'm not one to judge.
- 8 ounces ricotta cheese at room temperature
- 2 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whip the ricotta and cream cheese together until smooth in consistency.
Mix in the rest of th ingredients. That's it. How easy was that?
For a thicker dip, strain your ricotta cheese overnight. Since this is a "throw it together recipe" for me, I just pour out the liquid and use the rest.
Speaking of "throw it together," feel free to customize this recipe to your own taste or to use whatever you have on hand. Don't have honey? Maple syrup is great. Don't like orange zest? Leave it out. Add pumpkin pie spice, throw in some nuts, try marscapone cheese. You seriously can't go wrong!
